Manuka is recognized for the second time by The HuellaChile Program of the Ministery of The Environment

Chile’s largest milk producer, Manuka, has once again been recognized by the HuellaChile program of the Ministry of the Environment in the “Quantification” category. This acknowledgment is part of the government initiative aimed at promoting the measurement and management of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The certification confirms that the company has successfully quantified and adequately managed its carbon footprint, marking a key step towards more sustainable operations.

This achievement reflects Manuka’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact and adopting best practices in waste and emissions management. The company has implemented various strategies to monitor its production processes, ensuring efficient resource management and minimizing negative environmental effects.

“This recognition strengthens our efforts to effectively quantify and manage our carbon footprint, demonstrating that we are a company committed to sustainability and mitigating environmental impacts,” highlighted Diego Troncoso, Manuka’s Head of Environmental Affairs.

During the ceremony led by Maisa Rojas, Minister of the Environment, 689 HuellaChile certifications were awarded to 351 institutions nationwide.

The company emphasized that this recognition is the result of collaborative teamwork and reaffirms its determination to continue improving its environmental standards. “This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of all the company’s areas. We will continue working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in our operations,” added Troncoso.

The HuellaChile certification enables organizations to evaluate, reduce, and report their emissions, contributing to national climate change mitigation goals. With this recognition, Manuka solidifies its position as one of the leading companies in the sector, advancing toward a more responsible production model focused on sustainability and environmental protection.
